This was my first time facing a true GL meta XL team, but I know it won't be my last

PVP is going to get very boring, very quickly once we start seeing the exact same mons all the time in both GL and UL. It's already there to an extent with Swampert, Venusaur and Talonflame

I'm still hoping Niantic introduces specific cups where XL mons are banned, because this is going to get ridiculous

Best screen setter? (Grimmsnarl vs Alolan Ninetales?)

Best screen setter? (Grimmsnarl vs Alolan Ninetales?)

I'm trying to figure out which Pokemon to add to the core of Bloodmoon Ursaluna/Fire Ogerpon/Sinistcha/Iron Hands that seems to be dominant in the Meta rn, and have been using Grimmsnarl as a screen setter with Fake Out + Parting Shot as the other two moves. But would Alolan Ninetales with Snow Warning work better, since Aurora Veil only takes up one moveslot and there are a lot of Grass and Flying types around? I don't really have a good counter to Landorus besides using Ivy Cudgel or Blood Moon and hoping for OHKO.

The last team member could then be Baxcalibur, but that leaves me more vulnerable to Fairy and Fire damage. (I've been playing around with either Garchomp or Urshifu as the sixth team member but not 100% on either)

As an Alolan Ninetales main, I will NOT be purchasing the new skin.

As an Alolan Ninetales main, I will NOT be purchasing the new skin.

And I hope that other players won’t support this either.

Although I love the character and think that the Sacred Style skin looks quite nice, it’s beyond me why the developers think that it is reasonable to charge $40. I seriously hope they do not adopt this pricing model for future skins, as this is a sure-fire way to deter people from buying skins for their favorite characters and spending money on the game.

TiMi, please don’t let your greed get in the way of how great this game is (and can be).

EDIT: From reading the comments, I realize I should’ve elaborated more. I think that anyone should be allowed to spend their money how they choose, but if many people purchase this skin, it sends a message to the developers that $40 is a reasonable price and sets a precedent for future skins of similar quality to be priced the same or MORE expensive. That’s all. Not trying to come across as full of myself lol.

FYI: Alolan Ninetales now has access to Flamethrower, Fire Blast, and Will o Wisp due to Go to Home connectivity

Pokemon Go just released Pokemon Home connectivity last night for players who reached level 40. An interesting discovery was made: Pokemon with regional forms who's original forms were in Let's Go get assigned the level up moves the original forms had in Let's Go.

This means that if you level up a an alolan Vulpix to level 24 in Go and send it to Home, you'll be the proud owner of an Alolan Vulpix with both Flamethrower and Will o Wisp. Sadly, this can't be used to give Galarian Ponyta Flare Blitz but it does have interesting connotations for Alolan Ninetales.

If like me you screwed up the level when transferring you still get Will o Wisp which seems like useful support when your dropping Aurora Veils.

I transferred an Alolan Ninetales in from PLGE to finish my living dex. I was in awe with how pretty they both look together!

Alolan Ninetales needs help

I have watched many videos seeing the ninetales destroy other pokemon. However, I’ve noticed that the ninetales is two or three levels higher than it’s victims. Alolan ninetales is not an attacker but a supporter at best. I have not played a character who is so inferior to every other pokemon 1vs1. This character needs help. I feel with every other pokemon getting buffs, it indirectly nerfs this character. Timi should give this character some love. For example, it’s unite move should inflict a scale of damage not only if its frozen or not, but by how much it is frozen. it should also be able to use it’s blizzard wind as a speed boost to help attack or escape similar to eldegoss or glaceon. Whatever the case, this pokemon is a lot of fun in practice, but with each update, it becomes less of a viable option in rank.
