Ask doordash support for a refund

I contacted doordash and Taco Bell for a refund…they just keep blaming each other. Just gonna have to contest it with my bank I guess. It is what it is, just annoying and inconvenient

That's strange. I work for doordash and you can easily get a refund. I would just call again and get a different customer service agent.

I’ll try again today, thank you

Report the issue online. As long as you aren't always asking for refunds, doordash will likely refund you without issue. Do not do a chargeback with your bank without first letting DD try and take care of you.

The couple times they've forgotten an item for me I've just reported it in the app. They give you credit on your account, so not the same as a cash refund, but it can just go towards the next order.

I’ve had the same experience. I ordered delivery from Papa John’s and it apparently was delivered by Door Dash. Nowhere on the website or the emailed receipt did it say that they were contracting out deliveries. I waited two hours for the three pizzas I ordered only to receive one pizza that wasn’t what I ordered that had a label on it with someone else’s name, address, and phone number.

When I called the Papa John’s I ordered from they said it was an issue with Door Dash and that I should contact them. When I called Door Dash they said it was an issue with Papa John’s and that I should call them.

My wife called Papa John’s back and asked to speak to a manager. They said the manager would be in the next afternoon. She went there the next afternoon when she was told to show up and they said the manager only works in the mornings and never in the afternoons. They also said the manager that wasn’t there was the only person she could talk to about the issue. When she pressed them for help and when exactly the manager would be in next or if they could call him, the Papa John’s worker yelled at her and threatened to kick her ass and throw her out if she ever came back to the store.

We reported all this to Papa John’s corporate twice and never heard anything back. We never got our food and never got a refund. We had to contest the charge with our bank and they gave us the money back. We haven’t eaten from any Papa John’s again ever since and won’t use Door Dash. I don’t order anything for delivery anymore. I either eat at the restaurant or I pick it up myself. I’ve found you get screwed over a bit less if they have to do it to your face at the point of sale.

u/RIPUSA avatar

I have never had a papa John’s order delivered correctly. It either is the wrong pizza/someone else’s or hours late after repeatedly calling them. I’ve tried them maybe 3 or 4 times in a ten year period, all different locations and each experience has been awful. I think this was before they contracted out to doordash though because I never had to deal with a third party delivery just the store itself and phoned in orders.

u/christiancocaine avatar

I will only ever order delivery from one specific local pizza & sub shop. I’m so tired of getting screwed over. Something seems to go wrong literally every time I ordered delivery from other places

You got a sloppy Dasher, for sure. But Papa John's is also majorly at fault here. It's SO common for restaurants to just hand out food without checking who it's for or what it is. I always check items against what my app says before I leave the store. But yea, Papa John's should be checking what they hand out.

more reply More replies

Papa John's sends the no tip/low tip orders to doordash during busy time while their drivers take the good orders. And u waited 2 hours for it, sounds like you don't tip well.

more replies More replies

Right and I find that the people that don't leave tips always do a non contact delivery because they are ashamed to show their face because they know these people live on tips and if the dd driver sets your food somewhere you don't like it wasn't done maliciously. How about a note that says where you would like the food left if not the instructions say leave at door.

u/jordanmindyou avatar

Papa John’s is just run by scumbags. It goes all the way up to the top. If you aren’t even politically correct enough for the NFL to carry you as a sponsor, the same NFL that has infamous racial and safety PR issues, where a good number of team owners are shit heels and hypocrisy is the name of the game… you’re probably a pretty shitty company.

They make bad pizza; they have bad values, bad politics, and religious opinions. They don’t deserve to be a national franchise, let alone in business at all.

No matter what they say you can ALWAYS get a refund. Stir up enough of a fuss and usually you’ll end up getting your refund and credits added. They tried to stiff me saying I had too many refunds already (not my fault I wouldn’t have all my food) but yeah. Keep trying them and you should get your money back

I’ve done a chargeback a few months ago. You’ll either get banned or they’ll fight back and send your bank their terms and conditions that state basically that refunds are optional and you agree to it when you order with DD. So good luck. They might also lie and tell your bank that you never contacted support like they did with me.

u/Top_Quiet_3239 avatar

I did a chargeback months ago, didn't get banned and they didn't fight it, or at least, amex gave me the money back

Probably depends on bank, I didn’t use a credit card either so that didn’t help at all. They sent my bank screenshots of their terms and services and lied to them saying I never contacted customer support.

I was just missing half my $40 order so it really wasn’t worth fighting them back on it and have just stopped using them entirely.

Use GrubHub dude. DoorDash is garbage.

Grubhub is no better in my area. They’ve had repeat issues with not having drivers but still taking orders. Last time I had to go to the restaurant to pick up my food myself. The restaurant was really nice and made me a new order since my food had been sitting out for 2 hrs at that point. Grubhub refused to refund me my delivery fees because it was picked up. I ended up doing a chargeback with my bank and bringing the restaurant cash to pay for my order. The only other time I used Grubhub, the delivery driver was a creep and said I must be lonely since my order was for only one entree. He kept staring at my chest the whole time. I complained to Grubhub but they seemed uninterested.

Ew WTF 🤦

Good luck with that. Last time I ordered through doordash, the dasher had my food for 45 minutes and kept driving around my neighborhood and stopping for 5-10 minutes at a time. The restaurant was 7 minutes away at most. When I got my food, it was all clearly opened and half the fries eaten. I saw her on my doorbell camera drop off the food, start to walk away, then turn around and poorly reseal the bag. I did not eat any of the food due to tampering, and doordash refused to talk to me, acknowledge the issue, or refund me. Fucking twats.

u/CommonStuff1532 avatar

Omg thats horrible!! I am a doordasher and I would in no way open ANY containers or bags. You treat customers the way you want to be treated. Mark it not delivered/missing items.

Nah because then you’ll still pay delivery fee and whatever you tipped. Go for a full refund.

You still have to pay delivery fee and tip when it's NOT DELIVERED??? That is insanity. I can't believe these companies get away with this crap!

As a driver I get it that sometimes customers lie (and sometimes dashers do too, obvs), but give them the stupid verification code after the first time and just stop screwing people over. Yes, I hate the code, too, but if it stops these issues... 🤷🏼‍♀️

Every time I have marked not delivered I get a full refund. And I am a dasher too, every time a customer marks undelivered I dispute it and it goes away especially since I can show proof.

more replies More replies

I used to put in my tip in advance, like with the initial order.

Do they do the verification code thing on DoorDash? I’ve only ever seen it on Uber eats.

The verification codd on uber is just what they do when you reach the "max anount" of refunds.

Literally this exact situation happened to me and they wanted to only give me $8 back when they didn't deliver my pizzas only the sodas with it.

lmao they are wild, you gotta fight for a full refund. It helps when you frame it as “i paid $17 for a drink to be delivered to my house when what I was supposed to get was the meal.” Their live support people usually come round.

How the hell do you get live support? Because I had a dasher recently abandon my order for another one and by the time it got reassigned, I had waited 40 minutes for cold food. The self serve support was like "That sucks! Sorry!" And when I tried marking the food as not the right temperature I only got a half refund.

This customer-driver animosity is a byproduct of DD stealing the delivery charges paid by the restaurant and the customer ($12 - $20) and paying the driver typically $2-$4. This forces customers to pay a tip large enough to replace what DD stole plus more to add up to a wage worth accepting for the driver.

Unless informed of this, customers will reasonably believe that the delivery charge they pay is in turn paid in full to the driver, making the tip a bonus rather than the bulk of the wage.

[deleted]

Well stated.

u/Scary_Economics6813 avatar

The question we need to answer is why DoorDash misleads and deceives.

I suggest that it is because it does not believe that it can achieve its objectives if truthful.

Truth has the power to topple DoorDash. Our part is to be mouth pieces of the truth.

Money. That's why I they do it.

I agree. Well stated again.

I’m my state we had a vote for companies to be exempted from counting gig workers as employees. That measure had a ton of funding, with 20 million usd for “no” and a 205 million from Uber, DoorDash, Lyft, etc for “yes”. In California, the minimum wage is 15.50 and California labor code requires employers to reimburse mileage, so this would have been HUGE for California gig workers. I couldn’t believe that “yes” won, and I was so amazed that these companies got away with it. It’s also super upsetting to see that it’s worth tens of millions of dollars to lobby against paying employees what they’re owed.

The irs mileage rate has gone up to 65.5 cents per mile. For a 10 mile delivery, drivers are missing out on being paid 6.55 just for the drive. It’s outrageous…

Ding ding ding!

This guy fucks. Tip culture putting hard working individuals at odds with each other distracting from where the outrage should be placed.

It’s not tip culture, it’s intentionally making people think a delivery fee is the tip.

A gratuity fee at a restaurant goes to the server (or pool of servers, bussers, runners, etc if there is pooling). It does not go to the owners/managers. I know some restaurants are scammy and do illegal shit, but I worked for restaurants for over a decade and every one I worked in and every one I had friends worked in gave all the gratuity fee to the servers/employees.

So it’s not a problem with tipping, it’s a problem with DD intentionally tricking customers into thinking the delivery charges go to the delivery drivers. That’s why they think $1 is ok. Because they think “I’m already paying the driver $5 to deliver to me, $1 more seems fair as $6 total is worth a 3 mile delivery.”

They separate service and delivery fees. Why? Because you think as a customer, the service fee goes to the company, the delivery fee goes to the driver. I thought that. Still tipped at least $5 every Order because I use to be a server. But most people think the $1 is fair when added on to $5.

Tip culture as a whole enables this behavior out of the industry.

If we didn’t tip as a country, there business model would collapse as it stands.

I don't get how it's stealing for a business to charge for their product?

When you buy a shirt at old navy that money goes to the company not the person who rang you up. Is that old navy stealing the cashiers money?

IMO the best way to prevent that is if there was some sort of campaign or advertising where Dashers collectively agree to not take any orders for less than $5. I personally have seldom had any problems with customers at all except for like 2, a whiny chick on her period mad because her replacement pads weren’t what she wanted and didn’t realize until AFTER it was delivered, and a grumpy old senile guy who was completely disoriented when I got there.

More replies

One time I ordered from door dash and something similar happen.

I put in the notes “CASH TIP”.

They delivered only a drink. I ran outside waving cash in my hand as the dasher was getting in his car and he said “that’s what you get for not tipping”.

Anyway, Fuck that guy. DoorDash re-ordered the meal and gave me like $30 in credits.

I'm convinced at this point half of dashers are just douchebags that can't hold down a regular job for this exact shitty attitude about everything. Can't be bothered to read more than five words and then fuck with people's food. Probably the type that work somewhere for barely 3 months have some of the shittiest performance and then demand a raise or promotion and then quit when they don't get it. The other half are people trying to make ends meet or doing it for extra fun money.

DD is screwing customers and drivers. The driver was an asshole in the situation but OP didn’t tip on the app. 99/100 people that say they have a cash tip are lying!

My wife works in an industry where she receives tips. We like to tip well and like to tip with cash, so it isn’t on the books. I learned my lesson after this. If I do order DoorDash, I tip on the app.

Yes as a driver when people don’t tip on the app it shows up as $2.00. It’s an automatic decline for me but sometimes I slip up because they add it to a stacked order and I forget to check. I am always irritated when I realize that the second order on a 14$ stack is 2$. I never steal anyone’s food but it def pisses me off. If nothing else @ least add 3$ tip on app and give the rest in cash if you wanted.

I don’t think you should have to tip before the service. If you do that then there is no reason for the driver to deliver your food in a timely manner if it shows up at all. If there’s going to be a tip it should come after the food is delivered. You don’t tip at a restaurant before you get your food and service. Why is delivery different?

I hate any service that charges a delivery fee but then expected me to tip the driver. Dominoes and papa John’s both add like $5 delivery fees and explicitly say it doesn’t go to the driver so then what the fuck is it for? Pay your own employees and stop expecting the customer to do it for you. Shit turns a $20 order into a $30-$40 one.

I mean, I could argue 90% of customers are douches too since they tip under five dollars.

I don’t take those orders and do my job with a 4.97 rating. If you don’t tip well you’re likely to get bitter dashers that don’t realize how the system works and are pissed that they feel forced to take the low tip order

Actually, we are penalized for letting our ar drop. I tested it myself and allowed it to go under 50 percent. All I got were bad orders. When I brought it back up suddenly I got better orders again.

Yeah I get that, I'm saying this as someone who door dashed for 3 months while between jobs and also when I do use door dash I always tip well. Always at least $8-$10 even for small quick orders. Thats why I give it a 50/50. A lot of drivers are great but a lot are also shit even when they get good tips. I've had drivers take my food off route and then sit at an apartment complex for 30+ minutes that they didn't have an order for and then brought me cold soggy food. Its happened more times than it should have. I've had drivers straight up steal my food when I gave them a $20 tip and then I have to argue with support for over an hour to get my full refund just so I can replace the same order.

You wouldn’t believe how many times I’ve read “cash tip” only for the customer to take it out of my hands and not give me a damn cent.

Yup. Also this. I've been dashing full time for...almost 6 months and part time pretty much since pandemic shut down, and I can count on my fingers the times I've gotten cash tips.

Also customers don't seem to understand that delivery notes don't appear until we're en route TO THEM so it doesn't help their crappy (looking) offers get picked up any quicker.

Spoilers: that's every time it says cash tip.

I remember working in a restaurant and the person literally signed their receipt and wrote “cash” in the tip spot. Stood up to hand it to me as they walked out.

Like, who did you think you were fooling? Just write “fuck you” at that point.

Can’t disagree with you here. BUT….it does need to be reminded that not only is your driver a POS for not reading the instructions (said 100x a rookie mistake), but your ordering service is also to blame. If you put a tip in the box, you expect the tip to be displayed properly. Because DD hid most or all of it, it changed the view of your order in the eyes of the driver.

Flip side is…(again a rookie thing)…to deliver a drink only. How often do we deliver food that’s missing a drink? ALOT. How often do we ever get orders for a single soda or just fountain drinks? Not very often. Regular driver would have caught it.

More replies

We don't believe notes that say cash tip because people lie all the time about that. It sucks because we get paid a whole $2 to pick up and drop off so if we don't get a tip it does not cover gas and we are working for free. We would rather you tip on the app so we know what we are getting into. Also if you don't tip on the app your food usually sits a whole before you get driver cuz no one likes to work for free.

u/vivianisthecoolest avatar

smh

One time I ordered from door dash and something similar happen. I put in the notes “CASH TIP”.

So you might not realize this but I recommend doing tip upfront as you'll get smarter people to accept your order. Often doordash pay is so low that the cost of car gas, depreciation and time it takes to deliver makes it less than minimum wage, sometimes even a loss so most competent people will not take it and leave it for the clueless drivers to take.

u/HopingForSomeHope avatar

So I used to tip 2-3 dollars over the highest available tipping option cause I know driving for work sucks…. And I consistently had people who fucked up my order.

My stuff has been getting to me completely in tact more often now that I stay within the middle & top tip selections in DD. It’s bizarre. It makes me feel bad to tip $5 when I usually would average tipping like $8-10 but…. It was like a reverse correlation where someone crappy would see a big amt and grab it quickly or something.

My stuff has been getting to me completely in tact more often now that I stay within the middle & top tip selections in DD. It’s bizarre

So the reason for that is when you tip very large, doordash often will take your order and pair it with a low no tip order. So it becomes a double order to bait someone into accepting 2 low pay orders. So you then get stuck with the brain dead people again

As a driver, I try not to take Taco Bell orders. They literally won't give you the drinks and then argue that there's no drinks even tho they're listed on the order recy. Like that three taco Bell's near me have all done this. And when I've gone there for me they always forget somethin.

People blaming the OP as if he did something wrong. Lmao these people would never survive a real job.

Thats why I ALWAYS communicate with the customers!! Always!! Im just wondering why the dasher waited an hour for the food. And yes sometimes customers will say they never got the food! ALWAYS TAKE PICS OF THE FOOD AND THE ADDRESS. Ive had several customers call me and say "wheres my food?" Lol my response...i took a pic and made sure the address was in the pic. So yeh, your food was delivered!!

Same! I even send multiple pics in the app because some customers are slick and their door is nowhere near being in view of the address.

Hypothetical: Taco Bell has no beef to fill any of the food items. Customer does not answer phone or texts. Support tells you to contact customer for replacements and won’t cancel the order.

What do you do?

u/CommonStuff1532 avatar

I would call the customer and then send them a text. If they dont answer then i would recommend taco bell cancel the order.

I have never seen a restaurant cancel an order themselves even when it is the obvious thing for them to do. I’m not even sure they can.

Get the driver fired, please.

u/NormacSorg avatar

Had that happen from Chick-fil-A one night. Ordered food for me and some friends. Just got 3 drinks lol

The EXACT same thing happened to me last year. No food, no contacting me, just the drink. And it was the wrong drink.

u/ManOfQuest avatar

why is this so funny to me.

it has to occure to the driver who tf would just order a drink highly unlikely and must be an issue with the order lmao.

In the moment I was furious but in hindsight its fucking hysterical

All of these posts crucifying the OP for using DoorDash when the store was so close. If you stopped for just a moment to think you would realize there are many legitimate reasons why this could be the case:

  • Too sick to go get it themselves

  • Car is broken or in use by someone else

  • Severe injury or outright disabled

  • Taking care of an infant and don't want to deal with loading them in the car

  • Working from home on a high priority task

  • Watching a movie with family/friends and don't want to pause it for everyone

  • Too inebriated

  • Extreme social phobia of some kind

  • Had a really long and stressful day

Or, maybe they're just feeling lazy and they'd rather pay the extra fee for someone to go get it themselves. As if all of you are so far above ever doing such a thing and would never stoop to being lazy in your life ever.

But none of that even matters. OP paid for a service and that service was not provided. It is not your place to judge why someone would use the service, you don't know anything about them or their current situation. They are perfectly within their right to be annoyed. Being aggressively smug and judgmental is not justification for OP not getting what they paid for.

“Stop and think”. That’s giving these commenters way too much credit. Most of them don’t think. I was looking for this comment! 😁

Did the driver burp when walking away?

u/New-Respond-6557 avatar

It was tacobell, so he was doing a lot more than just burping

Does the receipt say "get fucked" on it? Cuz I feel like that would complete the picture.

These gig delivery services seem to attract the most sketchy people. I've used doordash twice, because I was given gift cards for it, and each time there were problems with my order, they took forever so the food was cold, and the drivers looked sloppy and unhygienic.

I don’t blame you for ordering > 1 mile away. I’ve done it. Not worth walking across an intersection and highway.

The photo is so ominous lol sorry for ur loss

In the grand scheme of things you have to just laugh at how unbelievably incompetent people are lol. Like, this is so outwardly offensive and annoying that I can do nothing but giggle

This is so true, it’s objectively hilarious but I’m so pissed

If it makes you feel better, I had to order dd myself this week cause I was out of town. I ordered a bowl from chipotle and they forgot both my sour cream and vinaigrette. I had a mild meltdown and had to angrily eat my food 🙂

Geezus, Doordash is so ghetto.

Id be livid

I had this exact thing happen to me., I called taco bell customer service, gave them the receipt info and order info from the app. They have me a full refund, though the refund did take like a month or so to actually get deposited to me.

Actually this is a new feature so you basically have to shake the beverage 22 times and a bat named "Malachi Fargo" will appear and give you your food.

Yep sounds like you got the Taco bell doordash combo. Both are complete ass. Was a gm at Taco bell, had to quit cause the Regional wouldn't let me fire a kid FOR SMOKING WEED IN MY DRIVE-THRU WINDOW. Now I'm the GM of a Dairy Queen. I see 100 dashers a day at least and 90% of them could not get a job anywhere else. I smoke weed, but these people can't even stop for work! Your momma should beat the brakes off you morons good god

u/Sauliann avatar

Doordash people are amazing if its short distance they insult the customer for being lazy if it long distance they dont want to do it cause to far

u/Omeggos avatar

I typically thank them, it helps makes my job easier. I’d be much happier taking a $4-6 order thats just a mile or two rather than one of those $4-6 for a 13 mile drive

I’m thinking there may be some untruth here….just speculating of course..

u/Dazzling-Whereas603 avatar

I’m guessing one you didn’t tip …. N don’t lie and say you did because dashers are now refusing to take orders that are low tipped secondly dd usually will start refusing refunds to repeat offenders that claim to not have gotten their order or that have requested refunds too many times … idk why dashers come on here and try to sympathize with you customers a lot of y’all are horrible liars that literally take advantage of dd crappy system

To all the people who keep telling this person “oh you could’ve just walked there and back” “ you probably didn’t tip” “who goes to Taco Bell” “it wasn’t even that far, you could’ve gotten it yourself”

Do y’all forget what DoorDash is? Perhaps it was raining and they didn’t want to walk there. Perhaps they have a disability which stops them from driving or walking, perhaps its a mom who just put her kid down for a nap and just wanted some comfort food.

All these replies push me further and further away from ever wanting to use door dash. Don’t be so quick to judge, you don’t know the type of day someone is having.

reddit can’t give you a refund bro. report it.

I did, to doordash and Taco Bell both. Still in limbo. Prob just gonna have to contest with my bank

I started using Uber eats and stopped using DoorDash cause 1. Either the order never came and they refused to refund me or 2. They always miss my items majority of the time. I’ve been using Uber eats haven’t had a single order messed up.

You don't get luxury for $2

u/OkStructure3 avatar

Is $2 a tip or no? If OP spent $10 that's 20%. This is why people should just give y'all nothing because its never going to be good enough unless they give you 100%.

I'm curious how much you tipped for a <1 mile delivery to take an hour

But yeah get a refund from DD

u/All_Metric avatar

I live in a city of 53k and a university of 16k after 11pm Taco Bell is the only good option besides Winco. I got stuck in the drive through for over an hour once.

Taco hell drive thru is the worst they literally take 1 order at a time at the box then make you sit there for a min before pulling forward fix your meal and then when that first person is pulling off after finally getting their food, they take the next order at the box. And yet they wonder why the drive thru is always wrapped around the building. Smh! And after sitting 20-40mins in a drive thru you find out the customer barely tipped sure speant make it worth it even though it's only 1 mile away. This is why I don't take fast food after 8 or if the lobby is closed. No one tips enough for that!!

I worked at taco bell before. I can guarantee you they are not only working on one order at a time.

As much as I would blame the dasher. This is taco bell. This is probably a TB fuck up. There's been many, many, many time I've picked up an order from TB and they forget something. Many times. I've come to realize something. Only 4 kinds of people work at Taco Bell; potheads, Stupid employees, HS students and lazy employees. Usually it's the HS students that get the order right. Sad.

I just started delivering for door dash and i already learned not to accept taco bell orders. Taco bell will allow orders to be placed even if the menu items arent available. This left me in a limbo situation with door dash because i had an order that wanted a chicken and rice bowl and two baja blast. The taco bell location they placed the order at didnt even have an order prepaired for them, which is the first issue as its supposed to be paid for already. This would have made me have to pay for the order out of pocket which wouldnt have been reimbursed by the delivery custom since they already paid and also paid the extra fees/service charge for delivery. Second issue was the taco bell was out of rice and beans, so i could not do the recommended substitute since the two main items for the chicken bowl (rice and beans) were out of stock so it would have just been a literal bowl of chicken. I wound up canceling the order as i was unable to complete it properly. I would hold out on ordering taco bell from door dash for those reasons. Taco bells menu is only 6 or 7 ingredients so theres not much room for substitutions and it seems they can not manage to calculate the proper amounts with online ordering available now. If it makes you feel any better im sure the person who delivered to you dealt with something similar and just didnt know what to do or was afraid they wouldnt get compensated for by door dash.

I have delivered just drink to a spot. Next day just a single tube of Krazy glue I got pics lol

Dude, we get DoorDash refunds all the time when drivers fuck up. They don’t even question it. Just don’t contact the store itself, it wasn’t their fault.

u/DifficultDrama7615 avatar

Why didnt you just walk over there? Burn a few calories on the way then get to enjoy the meal a bit more

u/LusterBlaze avatar

damn shawty

there are a lot of crappy dashers out there...no common sense to do this at all

u/InvestmentInformal18 avatar

One time I ordered McDonald’s on DD, expecting a full meal but only got a large drink inside a sealed bag.

Any chance somebody else beat you to it?

If they sent you a photo with it there then that’s on you. But if they didn’t that’s on them. The orders most the time show what it is we are delivering unless it’s a merchant delivery So if you order online, don’t be surprised if this happens because we don’t know what the fuck we’re delivering when you do so. We only know when you use DoorDash App to order food.

Damn. My problem is they never leave the drink. Never had the opposite happen. Wtf.

Hi I’m a dasher, if this was the image sent by the dasher shame on them. I’m sorry this happened :(.

Must be some kind of fancy liquor for that price!

u/Rice-n-Beanz avatar

I'm not sure why people are still using this. 22 for Taco Bell isn't even worth it. I hope you didn't tip. Drivers are what have made this experience bad.

u/Straight-Gas430 avatar

The dasher most definitely stole your food. I had one almost do this to me, luckily I opened the door right as they were walking away and said 'hey wheres the food?' It was a munchies box from Jack in the box and they acted like they didn't see it because they had another order. I got my food.

They would have photographed the food before taking it, at least. Photo is proof that the food wasn’t delivered.
