SFPD ‘making arrests every day’ with help of new license plate readers

Nopa vs Cow Hollow for young people Nopa vs Cow Hollow for young people

23M here starting work in the city next month and I've found two nice houses with roommates from college. Both are managed by mom and pop landlords. We all commute to FiDi and want it to be around 30 minutes or less. We like to be near dining, bars, etc. but not have it be too noisy.

One house is in Nopa on McAllister St, a block from Lucky and at the edge of USF - it's being remodeled. The other is in Cow Hollow on Union St, a couple of buildings away from Lululemon - this is furnished but a little dated. Both are well within our budget of $1500/person/month including utilities).

Can anyone kindly shed light on the 2 neighborhoods and which would be better for young professionals? All advice is appreciated. Thanks!
