YES app on Amazon Fire TV Stick is garbage
Is it just me, or is the YES app on the Amazon Fire TV Stick complete and utter useless garbage? I spend more time resetting, restarting, clearing cache, redownloading the app during the game then I do watching the game.
I finally have a streaming option to watch the Yankees and I’m still just frustrated trying to watch the game.

Yes app on insert platform here is garbage, and they have the balls to want $20 a month to watch games 🤣
False. Been using the Yes app on AppleTV with zero issues for years. Only minor thing is it makes you re-log-in with your YES account more frequently than other apps.
I want whatever voodoo you are performing to make this work on your Apple TV. I have the 4th gen 64GB device and it absolutely sucks. Routinely time-warps to 10 minutes ago or whatever the buffer period is and I have to either kill the app or reboot the device to get it to work again. Also, the sign in process is atrocious.
Nothing close to voodoo here. I am far from a technical savant. I have the most recent generation, also 64GB. But it very rarely has problems, at least no more frequently than my dozen or so other streaming apps.
I do get annoyed by how frequently you have to sign in and the fact that you need to have a YES account in order to stream anything. Other than that, no complaints.

Ditto. I had to switch to Roku. The Roku froze once, but exiting and re-entering fixed that. The ATV was unwatchable. POS app.
It's a steaming pile of shit and the yankee organization should be embarrassed to have any association with that cancerous tumor of an app that I've willingly diseased my TV with. If it weren't for using my parents fios login I'd never in a million year spend a single fucking penny on that thrombosed hemorrhoid piece of shit app.
Well, my subscription renews on April 30. Guess if I’m renewing? Tonight it decided to throw up a “you’re not authorized to view this content” BS after in the fifth inning.

Same and I signed up for the annual. First time been cut off from a game but at least once a game I get stuck on some sort of skip/replay for 30 seconds to a minute
Tonight is the worst it's ever been. I have it on Chromecast and I've had to restart it roughly once per inning.

It’s not like this is some cutting edge technology. Apps have been streaming live TV for years. There is just no excuse for how crappy it is. Doesn’t work when you launch it, freezes in the middle of the game, then throws a blue screen unauthorized error randomly. It’s every freaking game the same crap.
It’s insane that the Yankees -a multi BILLION dollar franchise - associate themselves with such a steaming turd of an app. They should be embarrassed

I used it on a Fire TV my father had and it's terrible there too. I don't like Amazon Fire anything, but the Fire Sticks are crap compared to Roku. If you already have a Fire stick, keep using it, but if you need a new one or an upgrade, go to Roku.
It doesn't work on my Roku anymore either. It works mostly okay on my Android (but I wasn't able to cast to my TV last time I tried). Since the updates this winter it says I'm not authorized to view the content on the Roku, even though I am logged in through a valid TV provider.
